Description

Who we are

For 25+ years, Intranet Connections has helped community-focused organizations improve how their employees find information, connect, and get work done. Our intranet software serves credit unions, community banks, healthcare providers, government agencies, and other regulated organizations. We’ve rebuilt our platform from the ground up with IC3 and are now moving our customers from our original platform onto the new one. It’s an interesting time to join Product: a modern platform still taking shape, loyal customers who tell us what they need, and a small team where good decisions can turn into shipped improvements quickly. At Intranet Connections, our SPICED values—Simplicity, Positivity, Integrity, Creativity, Empathy, and Diversity—guide how we work together and with our customers.

Opportunity Overview

We’re looking for a Product Manager to help lead the product day-to-day, turning customer needs and business priorities into clear, well-defined work for our engineering team. You’ll help shape what gets built next and why, make the scope and trade-off decisions that keep releases moving, and make sure we’re learning from what customers tell us. A major focus will be helping us continue to improve the quality and experience of IC3 while removing the product gaps and friction that stand in the way of customer adoption. You’ll work closely with our engineering team, designer, QA, and a Customer Experience team that talks to customers every day. We’re a small team, so this is a hands-on Product role for someone who enjoys getting close to customers, problems, and the details of what we build. You'll have direct access to leadership, visibility into the broader business, and a meaningful role in shaping how we grow.

Key Responsibilities

Shape and ship the product

  • Turn customer problems and business priorities into well-defined work, including user stories, scope, acceptance criteria, and edge cases engineers can build from with confidence.
  • Help shape the roadmap with clear, evidence-backed recommendations.
  • Make scope and trade-off decisions alongside Engineering and QA to keep development and releases moving.
  • Balance new development with product quality, helping prioritize bugs, UX friction, and product gaps based on customer impact.
  • Partner closely with our designer on discovery and UX and with QA on product quality.
  • Maintain a strong near-term focus on removing the product gaps and friction preventing customers from successfully moving to IC3.

Be the voice of the customer

  • Be a go-to product expert for our CX team, turning customer questions and feedback into clear answers and better product decisions.
  • Diagnose what’s really happening when customers hit friction — whether it’s a bug, configuration issue, product gap, UX problem, or training need.
  • Own the IC3 feedback pipeline so customer signals are triaged, tracked, and connected to product priorities.
  • Lead discovery with customers when deeper product understanding is needed, including customers encountering challenges during their move to IC3.
  • Work with CX to build self-serve product knowledge so good answers scale beyond individual conversations.
  • Bring customer, product usage, and adoption insights back into Product and Engineering.

Communicate and measure

  • Communicate what ships and why through clear release notes and product updates for customers and our team.
  • Show the product at its best in customer and prospect demos alongside CX and Sales.
  • Lead our regular product review, communicating priorities, progress, customer insights, and key product decisions.
  • Use product and adoption data to identify friction, opportunities, and areas requiring attention.
  • Regularly assess what’s working, what isn’t, and where we should adjust.

What Success Looks Like After 90 Days

  • Our CX team sees you as a trusted product expert and gets clear answers when they need them.
  • Customer feedback flows into a clear, prioritized view of product needs and opportunities.
  • Engineering starts each sprint with clear, well-defined work, acceptance criteria, and fewer avoidable surprises.
  • The product gaps and friction affecting IC3 adoption are clearly understood, prioritized, and moving toward resolution.
  • Product quality, bugs, UX friction, and new development are being balanced based on customer and business impact.
  • Customers and our internal teams have better self-serve product information as our knowledge base keeps pace with the product.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5 years+ of experience in Product Management or a closely related role, such as Product Owner or Business Analyst on a product team, ideally within B2B SaaS or technology.
  • Strong experience turning customer and business problems into clear user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Comfortable working closely with engineers, QA, and design, and making practical scope and trade-off decisions.
  • Able to hold a point of view, support it with evidence, and adjust when the evidence changes.
  • Strong customer instincts and comfortable talking directly with customers to understand the problem behind the request.
  • Clear, plain-language communication for customers, CX, Engineering, and leadership.
  • Enough technical depth to reproduce issues, understand error messages, ask good technical questions, and work effectively with senior engineers.
  • Comfortable using data to inform decisions, including pulling information from a CRM, databases, or product systems.
  • Organized, practical, and comfortable working in a small company where priorities can evolve.
  • Able to move between higher-level product thinking and the hands-on details required to get good work shipped.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with intranet, internal communications, employee experience, or digital workplace products.
  • Experience serving financial services, healthcare, government, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience with a major platform migration, rebuild, or customer transition.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, HubSpot, Figma, or similar tools.
  • Basic SQL or experience working directly with product and customer data.
  • Comfort using AI tools to accelerate product discovery, analysis, documentation, and day-to-day work.
